Splicing
Splicing closeouts without the spreadsheet
Splicing gets paid only when the closeout package is complete: photos for every splice point, light levels for every port, and the right billing code on every line. FiberLytic tracks all three as the splicer works.
Splice point status at a glance
Each splice point moves from Not Started to In Progress, Testing, Photos Needed, Ready for Billing, Codes Assigned and Billed. Project managers see which points are holding up the closeout before they build it.
Billing codes from the photos
For Brightspeed work, FiberLytic fills in splicing billing codes from the photo categories the splicer uploads: open tray, closed tray and hung case or handhole. Codes like BSPDSPL, BSPDFIBSPL, BSPDRIBSPL, BSPDTAPSPL, BSPDSPLTPA, BSPDSPLTPH, BSPDTSTD and BSPDTSTE are set from the evidence, not typed from memory.
Light level tests with a pass threshold
Light level readings are recorded per port in dBm and checked against a pass threshold (-25.0 dBm by default). Failing ports are visible before the closeout goes out.
Closeout packages in the format your prime expects
Closeouts bundle the eligible splice points, their photos, light levels and codes. An export formatted for MasTec is included.
Who uses it
Splicers log work and photos from the field. Project managers and redline specialists build and submit closeouts.
